We know your wedding dress is one of the most precious things you own. Before we begin cleaning, we want to be completely open with you about the process — what we can achieve, and where there are limitations that are beyond anyone's control. This short agreement exists not to alarm you, but to make sure you feel fully informed and confident before your dress comes into our care. We've been cleaning wedding dresses for over 25 years, and we treat every single one as if it were our own. About the cleaning process

Wedding dresses are carefully cleaned in accordance with the care label instructions where available. When instructions are unclear or unavailable, we’ll discuss the best approach with you before proceeding.

There are a few things we want you to be aware of:

It may not be possible to make your dress 100% clean. The age of the dress, how and where it has been stored, the nature of any marks, and the fabrics and embellishments used can all influence the outcome. In some cases, cleaning can also reveal marks or areas of damage that weren’t visible beforehand — this is a natural part of the process and not something we can always predict in advance.

Potential risks during cleaning

While we take every possible precaution, the following issues can occasionally occur with wedding dress cleaning, particularly with older, vintage, or heavily embellished gowns:

Shrinkage or distortion of fabrics
Delamination or shrinkage of interlining
Colour loss or migration, sparkle or glitter loss
Damage to beads, buttons, zips, or other trimmings
Rips, tears, split seams, or abrasion
Problems arising from pre-existing damage or faults
Problems arising from design or manufacturing faults
Problems caused by inadequate or absent care label instructions
